When a brand challenges the norm, promises to disrupt the status quo and makes us challenge our thinking in a space that has been saturated with the same messaging, it’s exciting.
I was thrilled to work with the team at Øthers to help them at a key moment in their development. This new app and functional fragrance concept is complex and driven by a range of frontier creatives; musicians, nomadic philosophers and extreme athletes. This melting pot of insights, styles and thoughts was a unique challenge and it was essential to create a tone of voice that captured the concept, the deep thinking, the movement behind the brand - without losing the customer in conflicting or verbose language.
I worked with the team to get in their heads, read their flow of conscious and create clear, cohesive, compelling brand storytelling. With so much behind the direction of the brand, it was key to capture this without overwhelm online. I developed webcopy that created clear navigation through the aspects of the app and the scent, how they work together; I produced an insert to accompany the scent as a vehicle to continue brand story, inspiration behind the scents and usage, plus edits to press release and other key customer journey messaging.
